Today, U.S. Air Force Maj. Ayla Reed is proving otherwise.
As Chief Engineer at Maui’s High Performance Computing Center, Reed works at the forefront of space domain awareness, helping protect critical infrastructure in space through advanced research and technology. But her mission extends beyond global security.
Proud of her Molokaʻi roots, Reed is committed to creating opportunities for Hawaiʻi’s next generation through education, mentorship, and internships.
“I’m incredibly proud of where I came from,” she says. “I am really driven to figuring out how I can continue to give back.”
