It was another lively gathering at Maui Brewing Company for Līpoa’s August 13th Pau Hana, thanks to the generous hospitality of our host, Galapagos Federal Systems. Nearly 60 guests representing more than 17 programs and offices throughout Līpoa came together to catch up with neighbors, make new connections, and hear about some of the exciting activity underway in our community.
Ryan Churchill of Pacific Rim Land welcomed guests and shared updates on the many projects taking shape around Līpoa. Among them is the new right-in/right-out entrance designed to help ease traffic on Līpoa Parkway. Also underway are four new home models expected to be completed by the end of the year.
Todd Lawson, president and founder of Galapagos, then shared the story of the Maui-based company’s growth from a small Hawaiʻi operation in 2017 to a team of more than 300 employees supporting national security missions across the country. Galapagos is part of the Nā ʻŌiwi Kāne family of companies, connecting its work in federal technology with a broader mission of supporting the Native Hawaiian community.
The evening also marked the launch of Līpoa’s social media presence on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Guests who followed Līpoa were entered into a drawing for Līpoa hats, T-shirts, mugs, and notebooks, with a YETI cooler as the grand prize.
