Aloha LĪPOA Community,
We wanted to update you on some exciting construction underway here at LĪPOA. Here’s a look at what’s happening:
LĪPOA’s First Residential Neighborhood
We’re in the very early stages of constructing the first residential neighborhood at LĪPOA, located makai of Ho‘okena Street and to the north of Maui Nui Golf Club. While we are a couple years away from completion, these are some of the key features that will be part of the final neighborhood:
120+ Single-family homes
• Shared open space and parks, including tot lots for keiki
• Walkable streets with sidewalks and bike lanes
• A perimeter trail for walking, exercise, and fresh air
What’s Happening Now?
Thanks to Goodfellow Bros, we’ve started work to lay the foundation for our community’s essential infrastructure. This process will take some time and includes the following:
• Construction of the Drainage basins Mauka of Ninau Street to help manage the flow of stormwater prior to the residential area;
• Laydown area for construction at the corner of Hookena Street and Holopono Street;
• Grading of the property and installation of utilities including reclaimed water and underground electrical;
• Roads providing access to the neighborhood, and a new right-turn-in and right-turn-out connection at Piilani Highway.
What’s Next?
Home construction is planned to begin in late 2026 after the above-mentioned infrastructure is complete with the first homes anticipated to be complete in 2027.
A Friendly Reminder
Please note that during this construction and for your safety, the Līpoa Loop Trail remains temporarily closed. In the meantime, please take advantage of our existing sidewalks that remain open for use.
