PAU HANA – November 18, 2025
EO Solutions founder, Daron Nishimoto welcomed more than 60 LĪPOA neighbors to Novemberʻs Pau Hana. With plenty of pūpū and something to drink, guests settled into an easy afternoon—reconnecting with familiar faces and meeting new ones.
With a backdrop of nearby dust fences, Ryan Churchill shared an update on the significant construction underway in LĪPOA. The work includes the earliest phases of new housing, upcoming retail spaces, and the extended-stay hotel. News that Aloha Pickleball will soon break ground sparked a pleased reaction among recreation enthusiasts.
Daron also reflected on highlights from his 35-year career, all spent in LĪPOA. Beginning as a staff scientist in tech, he evolved into becoming a successful entrepreneur in space domain awareness. His decision to launch EO Solutions—and to mentor Maui-based startups —grows from a commitment to expanding and diversifying professional opportunities for local residents. Daron’s story is a model for building a rewarding career while remaining on Maui, raising a family here, and pursuing a lifelong passion for science.
This month’s Pau Hana also introduced attendees to Jade Rojas-Letisi, the new Director of the County’s Office of Economic Development. Jade spoke about her department’s focus on cultivating more innovation-based businesses that create broader job pathways for our youth, strengthening Maui’s future from the ground up.
